Helping device for a welding robot
Welding metal parts is a complex process that is affected by many factors.
The one with the greatest impact is the human factor which is effected by the personal characteristics of the welder doing the job.
In order to solve this problem, automatic welding machines, or welding robots, were invented. After “teaching” the robot, it performs the process while keeping consistent standard for the product.
This device is intended for welding the metal frame of a car chair.
The device was designed to be semi-automatic: the robot operator loads the parts and the robot does all four processes of production in a row without the need for operator intervention. The operator only loads the parts in the beginning and unloads the finished product.
The project had short deadlines in order for the client to start the production line with the device at the time required.
